Logistics Operations Coordinator

based in Shumen

 

 

Job Profile:

-          Organises and manages external transport activities from the company’s warehouses to international customers in co-ordination with the Customer Service Department;

-          Organises and manages external transport activities from the company’s suppliers to its warehouses in coordination with the Planning and Replenishment Departments and the Warehouse Operations Managers;

-          Proposes and participates in the selection and development of transportation services providers;

-          Plays an active role in the further development of the set of key performance indicators and manages the performance of transportation services providers in cooperation with the Customer Service and the Sales Departments;

-          Prepares budgets and manages the costs associated with transportation services;

-          Monitors and shares information in the organisation on developments in the regulatory framework (for EU countries and Non-EU countries where the company operates) for the international transport and customs operations;

-          Manages the communication with the customs authorities in Bulgaria and customs agents, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the information in the relevant documents, maintaining a very good knowledge of on the application of commodity codes;

-          Co-ordinates with the Accounting Department the calculation and payment of customs duties and taxes;

-          Participates in and coordinates other logistics operations and administrative tasks as assigned;

-          Analyses key performance indicators and prepares regular and ad-hoc reports concerning the activities and performance of external services providers and logistics operations;

 

Job Requirements:

-          Education: University degree; a major in International Commerce will be a plus;

-          Professional experience:

o   Min 3 years in a similar position;

o   Good knowledge of Incoterms and customs regulations will be a plus;

-          Language skills: English; a second foreign language would be a plus;

-          Computer literacy: MS Office; experience with SAP or a similar system would be a plus;

-          Well-organised, disciplined, result-oriented and dedicated individual;

-          Strong team player with excellent communication skills;
