The Bulgarian company TESY is the first manufacturer on the domestic market whose panel convectors, oil radiators and its entire range of heating appliances fully comply with the latest energy efficiency regulations. The requirements of European Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/1188 for the implementation of Directive 2009/125/ EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on ecodesign requirements for local space heaters, came into force on 1 January 2018.
As required by the Regulation starting the beginning of this year, the seasonal energy efficiency for heating for various types of panel convectors and oil radiators should be more than 36%. Simulation calculations, however, show that the appliances intended to be used by fixed mounting, fitted with the currently used mechanical thermostats or ordinary electronic ones (without any additional functions), will no longer meet the requirements. Fixed-mount appliances offered on the market will need to have an electronic thermostat, so that they can respond to room temperature changes (for example when a window is opened) and must have an adaptive start or remote control capabilities. "The entry into force of the new directive is not a surprise for the manufacturers. At TESY we took the course of production of energy-efficient appliances – water heaters and convectors long before the imposition of such requirement by the European Union. We believe that "smart" and energy-efficient appliances are the future of the industry. On the one hand, they protect our planet, and on the other they help reduce the bills of direct customers" explained Hristo Slavov, Director of the Heating Business division at TESY.
The convectors produced by TESY fully meet the new ErP requirements from the beginning of December last year and can now be purchased without any waiting or additional orders. Among all the positive features of the convectors, the remote control function stands out – they can be controlled from around the world via internet connection and the tesyCloud application. Last year, the Bulgarian company became the first European producer to offer a "smart" water heater on the market, which is also part of TESY’s CLOUD family.
