The German-Bulgarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (GBITC) organises thematic trips in Bulgarian to the winners in the energy scout contest.  

Five scouts visited three companies and nearby historical landmarks. One of them was TESY in Shumen.

Interesting historical facts and examples proving the pioneering and innovative spirit of the company were shared by Mr. Hristo Slavov, Chief Operating Officer Business Unit Heating.

During the presentation of product development in the last 5 years in the direction of energy efficiency, the scouts learned the 4 main product categories that are developed and produced in the company - electric water heaters, heating and air care, indirect heated water tanks, heat pump water heaters. Each category is characterised by numerous solutions and a wide range of appliances. Eng. Dimitar Vasilev, Head of the Center for Business and Product Innovations Heat Pump Water Heaters and IHWT, and Dimitar Stoyanov, Senior Manager Production Support Business Unit Electric Water Heaters, presented in detail individual products, their application and the numerical measurement of energy savings based on the number of products produced after various energy efficient measures and innovative solutions.

After the presentation, the group of energy scouts visited the production line for high capacity water tanks, buffer tanks and heat pump water heaters, as well as the modern laboratory and test centre, presented by Stanislav Stankov, Manager of Laboratory Research and Analysis.
