Chief Product Development and Quality Officer

Position responsibilities:

- Develops and leads the execution of a comprehensive product development strategy aligned with the company’s overall vision and growth priorities;

- Manages the monitoring of industry and product regulatory requirements, standards and development trends, fostering a creative environment conducive to innovation, new product origination and relevant facelifts and upgrades of the current product portfolio;

- Together with Product Management critically assesses product development proposals in line with the corporate strategy in the respective product category;

- Leads the preparation and successful and timely implementation of product development roadmaps and annual plans;

- Ensures that TESY’s products' technical, functional and performance features comply with the respective regulatory requirements and standards, offering competitive advantages and useful benefits to end users;

- Oversees the entire product development cycle from ideation and prioritisation through prototyping and testing to industrialisation and preparation for market release in accordance with the product specifications prepared by or aligned with Product Management;

- Identifies market opportunities, assess risks and makes informed decisions regarding product investments and resource allocation;

- Together with the Manufacturing Division, manages the definition, testing and successful implementation of the relevant product manufacturing technology;

- Leads the development and adherence to appropriate quality standards and key performance indicators in respect of materials and components, production processes and finished products;

- Ensures that TESY’s products meet their specifications for quality, reliability and durability, with a focus on the quality control of materials and components, production process quality and finished product quality sample checks and batch release;

- Represents or nominates representatives in selected industry groups, professional and business associations developing and/ or monitoring industry/ product standards, as well as collecting and disseminating relevant market data;

- Collaborates closely with other departments such as Product Management, Marketing, Sales and Production to ensure effective communication, alignment and coordination throughout the product lifecycle;

- Leads the regular review and updating of business processes for product development, quality management and monitoring and compliance with regulatory standards, aimed at continuous improvement;

- Creates an appropriate functional organisation, developing and leading a high-performing team of product engineers, software and hardware developers, quality and laboratory professionals, providing coaching, mentorship and support;

- Manages the preparation and ensures the compliance with annual budgets for the Innovation, Product Development and Quality Division in line with TESY budgeting framework and plan;

Position Requirements::

- Education: University degree in engineering, technical science or other major suitable for the position;

- Professional experience:

o 15 years of which at least 10 years in a management position;

o deeply understands product development methodologies, new technologies and industry trends;

o a good understanding of industry 4.0 and experience in an international company would be an advantage;

- English language – excellent command both written and spoken;

- Computer literacy: MS Office;

- Interpersonal skills:

o Creative and excited by new technologies;

o Visionary with strong leadership and organisational skills;

o Self-starter, dedicated, disciplined and result-oriented individual;

o High level of communication, presentation and negotiation skills;

o Outgoing, open and honest personality;

- Willingness to regularly travel to TESY’s key markets;
